Supper Walks – Terms & Conditions

We want every Supper Walk to feel relaxed, welcoming, and well-organised. The notes below are simply to make sure everyone knows what to expect and can enjoy the experience safely.

1. About Our Walks

Supper Walks are guided group walks, finishing at a local venue for dinner. Routes typically follow public footpaths, bridleways, and quiet lanes.

While we plan carefully, the countryside is naturally variable and conditions underfoot may include mud, uneven ground, slopes, and stiles.

2. Taking Part

By booking a Supper Walk, you confirm that:

  • You are physically able to complete the advertised walk
  • You are comfortable walking on mixed countryside terrain
  • You will take reasonable care for your own safety throughout

If you have any concerns about suitability, please contact us before booking — we're happy to advise.

3. Your Responsibilities

To help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, we ask that you:

  • Wear suitable footwear (walking shoes or boots recommended)
  • Dress appropriately for the weather
  • Follow guidance or instructions from your walk host
  • Respect the countryside, livestock, and other walkers

4. Risk & Responsibility

Walking in the countryside carries inherent risks, including slips, trips, and changing weather conditions.

By taking part, you acknowledge these risks and agree to participate at your own risk.

Supper Walks accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage to personal property, except where such liability arises from our negligence.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.

5. Food & Dietary Requirements

Meals are provided by independent partner venues.

  • Menu choices (where applicable) should be selected at the time of booking
  • Dietary requirements must be clearly communicated in advance
  • While venues aim to accommodate needs, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment

Any specific concerns should be discussed with us before the event.

6. Bookings & Changes

All bookings are subject to availability.

If we need to make minor changes (such as route adjustments or venue changes), we will always aim to provide a suitable alternative of similar quality.

In the event of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, we may need to reschedule or cancel a walk. In this case, we will offer an alternative date or a refund.

7. Cancellations

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to someone else — just let us know in advance.

  • Cancellations made 48 hours in advance: full refund
  • Cancellations made after this time: non-refundable

8. Dogs

Well-behaved dogs are welcome on selected Supper Walks, as indicated in the event details.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone:

  • Dogs must be kept under close control at all times
  • Leads must be used where appropriate, including near livestock, on roads, or when requested by the walk host
  • Owners are fully responsible for their dog's behaviour, safety, and welfare

We reserve the right to ask that a dog be kept on a lead or, in rare cases, that a participant leaves the walk if a dog is causing disruption or poses a risk to others.

Please note that not all partner venues allow dogs indoors. It is your responsibility to check suitability before booking.

9. Livestock Awareness

Many of our routes pass through working farmland where livestock may be present.

For safety:

  • Dogs must be kept on a lead when near livestock
  • Walkers should follow the guidance of the host at all times
  • Please move calmly and give animals plenty of space

These are standard countryside practices and help ensure a safe and respectful experience for everyone.

10. Contact

If you have any questions before your walk, please get in touch — we're here to help and want you to feel confident and prepared.

We keep these terms straightforward because Supper Walks is, at its heart, about enjoying good company, fresh air, and a great meal — with just enough structure to make everything run smoothly.
